19th Feb 5pm: After the Felder Felder show, my little sister Lizzie and I legged it to Amanda Wakeley for a fitting, as I’m attending the show next Tuesday, and after a couple of cheeky glasses of champagne it was time to get ready for the second show, Paul Costelloe.
I’m not gunna lie I was a little nervous about rocking the Costelloe SS16, acid orange Neopreen jacket that I’d chosen to wear for the FROW as I don’t really wear brights like that and I was also worried that I’d get confused for ( albeit a chic ) worker in high-Vis. Eeek.
But I was pleasantly surprised that not only did I love the jacket but I managed to put together a strong look including a pleated midi skirt that I’d picked up from Zara during the week, and some silver court shoes from Top Shop. I keep buying the same pair when they’re trashed as they seem to go with everything which is handy. Not to mention they’re super comfortable – bonus.
The turtle next top you can see under my jacket is actually a short PPQ dress that I used as separate. You’ll see this bad boy in more detail in my next post. Again the ring was a little vintage bargain from Bang Bang Clothing Exchange.
The show was filled with a diverse mix of beautiful models and yet again Costelloe wowed with his statement Autumn / winter coats. There was tartan, tweed, crushed velvet dramatic coat tails and unorthodox baby doll dresses styled with long sleeved cut out gloves and knee socks.
Here were some of my favourite looks from the runway:
1. The Red Tartan trio
2. The Wizard sleeve 😂 tweed 😍
3. The Petrol Purple, suit jacket and shorts worn with Victorian collar esq vest
